Jay has been designing and crafting homes, furniture and art glass for over 30 years. His company is founded in the belief that design inspires innovation in building craft just as the craft of building inspires innovation in design.
He is committed to designs that reflect both client and regionalism, to the use of timeless and local materials which are inherently sustainable, and to the resulting value for his clients.
Jay is fortunate to be supported by a select and dedicated cast of sub-contractors, suppliers, artisans and a designer who take pride in their contribution over many years. Most importantly he is supported by passionate and involved clients who make it possible for him to do what he loves.

Founded by Jon Duvall, a graduate of Virginia Tech School of Architecture, in 1992 as a sole proprietorship. The business has been Incorporated in Virginia since 1995.
The company focuses on highly custom & sustainable residential, light commercial, or farm buildings that are site & client specific. To that end the company both designs and constructs as needed.
